In recent years the design team at Harrison noticed there was an industry wide trend towards creating rods that could cast further and with greater accuracy. This was a trend that the Harrison team became caught up in, producing rods such as the Torrix TE with distance caster Terry Edmonds to ensure that carp anglers who wanted to tackle the largest UK carp venues venues could do so with complete confidence. However, in all this furore surrounding distance casting the regular close-to-mid range rod got left in the dust. Harrison noticed this and immediately set to work designing a brand new range of carp rods designed with closer range angling in mind. The result was the Acurix range.
Harrison’s slimmest rod to date, the rod is under 14mm in diameter above the butt and a mere 12.5mm under the handle. However, the brand understands that slimness isn’t all that comes into play when creating a fantastic carp fishing rod and the Harrison Acurix also boasts the action, balance, and feel that sets it apart from any of the other close range carp rods currently available. One of the most impressive features on the Acurix is the effortless cast it offers; the rod does all the work for you. This means that you can focus on accuracy and the Acurix is ideal for casting small leads up to 100 yards – more than far enough for all your close and medium range fishing needs.
